Topic: 
The Clubhouse Model of Psychosocial Rehabilitation for those with severe and persistent mental illness, such as schizophrenia, bipolar and major depressive disorder.   While the Clubhouse Model has been around for over 60 years, it has just recently become available via PLAN @ 1121 Rock, the first accredited Clubhouse in North Texas.  The model is not a treatment center or a dayhab, rather it is a dynamic and transformative model that helps those who are isolating, have lost skills, are struggling with relationships, to find support and a place of belonging.   Membership is voluntary.  Here, members and staff work side by side to prepare nutritious lunches, work in the garden, schedule social events, help each other find jobs, housing and educational opportunities, track attendance and hours, and work on special projects that come about as a result of Clubhouse member initiative and innovation. We call it a launch pad for a better life.  Lunch will be prepared and served by members.  Tour included.
